Maintenance Guidelines

The following guidelines are presented to you in an effort to provide you with the best Stamped Concrete possible. Certain conditions, however can adversely affect your Stamped Concrete.

  1. De-icing salts such as calcium chloride or sodium chloride and other similar chemicals can damage your concrete. Materials containing ammonium sulfate or ammonium nitrate should never be used on the concrete.
  2. The only safe material to use on the concrete surface for skid resistance is plain sand..
  3. Your Stamped Concrete work has been designed for Normal Residential Loads.
  4. The ground next to your concrete has been carefully graded to avoid excessive water runoff. Don't dig near your concrete or place dirt, gravel or similar materials near your concrete. Doing so may cause cracking.
  5. Don't drive (Concrete Driveway) on the concrete work at all for 7 days after your concrete is completed and sealed.
  6. We recommend that the Stamped Concrete be cleaned and sealed every 3 years in order to keep the original color and shine.
  7. Heavy machinery should not be used for snow removal. Snow blowers will not damage the surface. Any other machinery used for snow removal will be at the owner's risk.
